We are a small company. We need to synchronize our Salesforce DB with our internal SQL Server DBs.
Our registration process etc will still feed to our internal databases and need to be updated in Salesforce.
I am having troube finding a solution. Solutions are either too expensive and complex or far too simplistic.
I don't want to use mashups as I lose the reporting abilities of Salesforce. At the moment I am leaning towards Pervasive.
Anyone have experience to share about Pervasive. Or any other suggestions?
Thanks

We use Sesame Software's Relational Junction for Salesforce product. You can have your local database built and syncing with salesforce.com in less than 30 minutes. It will sync data in both directions, so you can also use it to integrate with internal applications. The best part though is it also keeps your local schema synched with salesforce.com (including custom objects). So you don't have to spend time mapping fields from salesforce.com to your local database.
The product saved us an estimated 6 months of development time to recreate similar functionality. We also don't have to worry about API changes, as the vendor takes care of that for us.
Lastly, it's very inexpensive. List pricing is $40 per user per year (not per month) + $8,000.
And no, I'm not their sales rep
. It's just that we rely on it heavily and have had terrific experience with it.
Hope this helps!

Pervasive DataSolutions has just released DataRep which is a one-way replication of your Salesforce account. You can replicate as little or as many entities as you want and run the replication anywhere from every 15 minutes to once a day. We'll be finishing up our SQL version by the end of this week and will be selling the product for a $750 annual subscription. You can read more about our product on the AppExchange or via our website:

Hi,
Did you ever decide who to go with? My company is in a similar situation. We are currently considering building a custom integration.
