User can view an Account she does not own

If I have user (A) who is the owner of an Opportunity, and user (A) is set up to share data with user (B), can user (B) view (but not edit) the Account of this Opportunity when User (A) does not own the Account?  I recall reading something about this in the help but I cannot find it again.  It makes sense to me.  If I can see the Opportunity then by default I should be able to see the Account as well.

 

Does anyone know if this is in the Help documentation?  I have found it not very easy to search on!

Is the user B part of the Account Team for the Account?
