Re: Sandbox with Self Service Portal

Yes you can configure your Self-Service Portal to use with the Sandbox in your Sandbox. The set up would be exactly the same as for the non-sandbox setup.

Re: Sandbox with Self Service Portal

If you are using the Self-Service Portal setup from the Sandbox you can still use it in exactly the same way you would your production version. You can submit Cases through it, setup auto-response rules etc.

I am not sure what you mean by simulator or what you intend to do with the Sandbox self-service portal. All that said it will function the same way the production version does, it will even send you emails.

Re: Sandbox with Self Service Portal

Plz correct me if i got wrong understanding....

My understanding is that the self service portal  generated the code to copy on web-site of my client web-site, so it is been implemented (on website) and working correctly with my client Production environment.

Therefore i gonna do same thing with Sandbox account,  then the code to implement on web-site will need to change (that is not my client wants to do replace) . So I just asked , is there any sort of simulator which provide functionality similar as webpage ?

Many Thanks

Re: Sandbox with Self Service Portal

Ok when you setup the Self-Service Portal you either generate the HTML to put on your website or you use the Salesforce generated link to go to the login page where the Portal resides. When you select the "Generate HTML" button on the Self-Service Portal Setup you will see this URL.

If you are wanting to test the functionality that is on the Production side you will need to refresh the Sandbox so it picks up the configuration of the Production org. Then you can use the Self-Service Portal to run your tests.

There is no "simulator" as you put it. And to reiterate you do not need to replace the website with the HTML code from the Sandbox Self-Service Portal. You just use the Login URL generated from the Self-Service Portal and login as a user that you have setup in the Sandbox to access the Self-Service Portal and then you can submit Cases as that user into your Sandbox from the Sandbox Self-Service Portal.
