SFDC / JIRA integration

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this integration. We use JIRA for bug tracking and would like to linkto SFDC so that we can run Case Metrics like bug:cases ratio, etc. Thanks.

Re: SFDC / JIRA integration

We use a plugin produced by Customware.net at $950 a year that works very well between Jira and Salesforce. It has the ability to create a Jira bug from within an SF Case, it can map Jira Fields to any object, it displays a related list window of the Jira bug on any object, etc. There is also a small Confluence/Salesforce plugin thrown in for free.

I would higly recommend it.

Re: SFDC / JIRA integration

MATTYBME, thanks for the suggestion. Customware.net is exactly what we've been looking into. The main objective is to be able to run reports like how many SFDC Cases have JIRA bugs associated with it, which customers have reported Cases for what bugs, what is the bug status as it relates to Cases, what's the turnaround time on those bugs (TTL to be tracked in JIRA), etc. Do you have experience with these metrics? Sounds like from your response that all these should be possible but just wanted to confirm. Thanks.

Re: SFDC / JIRA integration

To clarify the generic Customware.net plugin only allows a window into the world of Jira and cannot be reported on. However, if you install the Customware.net Jira/Salesforce Utility Suite and set up the Field mappings, Jira Workflows and Salesforce Listener you are able to automate changes in Jira being reflected in Salesforce and are able to report on all of this. Customware.net are very responsive if you have questions or issues.
