Problem with formula

Hi,

I'm trying to build a formula that will complete an ID number in the contact record with information from one of two other fields: Nro_de_socio or identi_contac_c. This is the formula:

IF(ISNULL( Nro_de_Socio__c ),  VALUE(Identi_contac__c) ,  Nro_de_Socio__c)

This works when the field "Nro_de_Socio__c" has a number, but it turns into a zero when there is no information there, instead of entering the identi_contac_c information(this is an auto-number and is always filled). Nro_de_socio is a number typeof field.

Thank you!

Re: Problem with formula

Hi Carolina,

Can you provide me with some additional information.

Where (on which SFDC object) are these other fields located?

What relationship does this Object have with the Contact Object?

Re: Problem with formula

This is all in the standard contact object.

Thanks!

Re: Problem with formula

What are your Blank Field Handling settings?

They should be set to "Treat blank fields as blanks"

Blank Field Handling:

If your formula references any number, currency, or percent fields, specify what happens to the formula output when their values are blank.

 Treat blank fields as zeroes
Treat blank fields as blanks
