Is there any way to mass update Lead Source?

We're new to SF.com and in the process of setting things up, importing leads, etc...

Is there any way to mass update Lead Source? I have looked through the Help and Doc's and see no way to do this?

What edition are you running? I would look into using either the Data Loader or the Excel Connector but depending on your edition there are limits.

Group and Professional do not use Data Loader

Professional you can download the Excel Connector

My second question is what are you trying to accomplish when you set-up new lead sources you have the ability to Replace one for another and it will mass update those values. However, if there is more of an update or change then you could use the Data Loader or Connector to extract your data in a .csv or .xls update the file then reload.

We have enterprise.

I imported a couple hundred leads yesterday and did not specify a lead source - I would like to populate them all to a specific lead source.

Great here is what I would do.

1. Download Excel Connector

2. Query All Leads from Yesterday, make sure you include Lead ID and Lead Source

3. Then you enter the value of the Lead Source

4. Then you Click Update

The excel connector is pretty intuitive, however if you run into any problems getting it up and running let me know!

The Excel Connector is the BOMB! I use it all the time for stuff like that and more.

You can also install this Mass update and mass edit app on appexchange to do this
