Hi
I have to say the reporting is great for the most part i have been able to create every report my managers need.
I only have 2 things that are an issue. I need to be able report across different record’s e.g. I have customized the Property management from the app exchange. I want to be able to report this new tab I created called Rent Review with the Payment Advise tab but you cant unless you do some sort of lookup which is find annoying.
Also when you have your custom tabs salesfroce automatically adds the tab name to the report columns if it thinks there is a double up e.g. it put Rent Review: Primary Contact which is annoying in the reports.
The Other thing which is my main issue and I am sure there are other people out there, Is I do an Inactive opportunity report for the last 14 days
Meaning if a rep has not edited or added a task (email, call) to the opportunity it shows up in this report. My only flaw is that if they put a task to call the person in 3 weeks it shows up in the report. I need to be able to Exclude Open Activities but I have no ways of doing this from an opportunities report. It would be handy to have a similar thing to the All Opportunities Open Closed Won Filter.
If this is some how doable already please let me know
Thanks and keep up the great work !!!!!!!

So this intro has now been read over 10,000 times. Pretty exciting! The initial post resulted in some really useful input over the last year - thanks for posting your comments! I've actually just left Salesforce to pursue the on-demand analytics dream at a start-up called LucidEra. Some of my thoughts on this company and the opportunity it has to shake up the tradional business intelligence market are posted here: http://www.lucidera.com/blog/index.php/2007/07/13/
I'd love your feedback there as well. Thanks again for all of your input!
Darren

I would really like to see some movement in the ability to "design" reports so that we don't have to export to Excel to pretty up the data. The printable view is ok but it truncates long text fields at 255 which is a real annoyance. If that 1 thing could be fixed I think I would be a happy camper.
Thanks for listening!
