IE7 does not render specific elements in Force.com sites,

 specifically buttons to move to different pages in IE7.  Ie6 & 8, Chrome and Firefox all function optimally.   Has anyone run into this before?  Is there a setting on IE7 I should be aware of that would prevent certain page elements from displaying on the site?
