Help with searching leads

Hello,

 

I am a newbie to Sales Force and have started to customize the Leads section.

 

I have inserted Picklists and would like to know if I can search Leads with different Picklist selections.

For example my Leads are categorised into "Sales Agents" "Investors" and "Corporate Investors".

 

How can I search Leads that are currently categorised as "Sales Agents" ?

You can do that under

 

 Set Up=> App Setup=> Leads=> Search Layouts

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have got into the Lead Search Layouts ... now I want to be able to search for selections in my custom picklists ... what should I do?

Ive been trying a few options but cant seem to get it working!
