Custom Opportunities Report

I am creating an opportunities report that shows all my new opportunities generated in the month.  I would like to know the current activities on these reports as well.  Does anyone know how to add these?

If I create the report using the activites base, then I can't see the opportunities if they don't have activites associated with them.
