Custom Fields in Partner Portal

All,
I have been tasked with implementing the partner portal by next Friday. (eek!)
So far I'm doing ok, but have a strange question.
I have custom Account & Opportunity record types with their own page layouts. The trouble is that custom fields aren't appearing on those page layouts! I'm sure there's a setting somewhere that I don't know about that needs changing, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it.
Any advice you can offer is much appreciated!

Most likely nothing to do with the partner portal per se, and most likely to do with field level security (or the lack of) on the custom fields you added. Check the FLS for those fields to make sure that the partner portal profiles have access to them.
