Accept Case Button in Partner Portal

Is the 'Accept' button suppose to display on case list views in the partner portal?  I've set up partner users in a case queue with a list view specific to this queue.  The partner user can access the list on the portal but there is no Accept button - the same list in the CRM does display the Accept button.

 

Is this standard functionality and can a custom button support this?
