Household Tab

I began using Household tab this week. I created a few Households linked to existing Contacts. When I open a household, Salesforce immediately opens a New Donation (Opportunity) page. When I select "Cancel" it restarts Salesforce.

That is a very strange issue.  What browser are you using?  I would recommend trying it on another browser, it sounds like a bug.  Another possibility is someone setup a button override that is overriding in a "less than optimal" way.
