Email bug(?) with non-profit template Contacts tab; and where to report a potential bug?

Hi,
 
I did do a search before posting, but couldn't find an existing post regarding this, or a specific location to reports bugs. So I guess, my first question is, is there a particular discussion board or form to report potential bugs?
 
Assuming it's OK to ask it here, this is my question:
 
I have just started using Salesforce.com with the non-profit templates. I was trying to enter new contacts and I saw that:
 
1) There are 3 fields for email: Personal, Work, and Alternate.
2) There's a Preferred email drop-down field with values: Home, Work, and Alternate.
3) There's another field called simply "Email" that seems to be auto-populated by whatever value you entered for whichever email you "preferred".
 
When I tried experimenting though, this is what I noticed:
 
1) The email field you enter one of the emails is called "Personal", but the Preferred email field lists "Home" as the selection instead.
2) If you pick "Home" for the Preferred Email, it displays the "Work Email" in the "Email" field as opposed to the "Personal Email" I assumed it would when you look at the contacts list.
 
Does anybody else see this? Am I doing something wrong?

I need some help with this too. I solved part of the problem by changing the picklist for the preferred email to add "personal" to the list. Now when I select that from the list, the personal email auto-populates the standard email address with the personal address. My problem is getting the work address to populate that field if I choose Work as the preferred address.

I need to make sure the plain e-mail address field is populated with whatever is the preferred address (I need this field populated in order to get SF to work with Vertical Response, since VR looks for this particular field).

I'm new to SF and the NP version, and don't know where to turn to figure this out.

Further information, but still don't know the solution:

I found the workflow trigger for the email field and it's activated "When a record is created, or when a record is edited and did not previously meet the rule criteria". I'd like to change that to the anytime it's edited option, but I can't find a way to change the workflow.

How can I do this? I see you can clone a trigger (which I assume could then be edited), but then how would I apply it to the field?

I think it is a bug.  If you change the dropdown values for prefrerred email to be Personal/Work/Alternative instead of Home/Work/Alternative, it works just fine.
