*Problem* Change Email

Hello,

I've attempted to change my email address for the community.

When I click the verification link in the confirmation email (http://community.salesforce.com/sforce/v?u=*****&k=***************) it just directs me to the forum home page, and doesn't confirm the change.  If I copy and paste the url, same result.

Is this some bug in the board?  I can't receive emails for posts I'm subscribed to until this is fixed.

I get the same thing, I wouldn't hold your breath.  When I called Salesforce Support about it I was told that it would be resolved when we migrate to the new Community Site.

I think eventually all of these boards are going to migrate over to the new Community/Answers site, so they probably don't want to allocate too many resources to fixing a bug on a system that's going away.

Unfortunately I'm running into the exact same problem on the new Community Site (and still waiting for a resolution on that one too)

so now I'm a member of TWO Salesforce Communities where my email doesn't work :-/

Hi guys,

We are aware of the problem and are working on it. I hope to have a solution by the end of this week.

Thanks!

Are there any updates on this?  It has been over 1 month, and I have logged several Support Cases related to this that are still unresolved.

I have to be honest that it's a little puzzling (and getting a bit frustrating) that something like this should be so difficult to resolve.  This is something that FaceBook, LinkedIn, and thousands of other Online Communities have figured out how to do.

All I want to do is change my Community Profile email so that Community e-mails (and the SPAM from people who troll the Community Boards) are not sent to my office e-mail.

I would like to hear more on this as well.  Premier Support said they would change my email somehow through the back-end, but ended up just getting me to create a new account (which is clearly not what I want).

Re: *Problem* Change Email

This might seem like a minor annoyance to Salesforce, but I have noticed an alarming increase in unsolicited Sales e-mails and calls in recent months.

While I enjoy participating in the Salesforce Community, I would prefer not to have my work e-mail published. I still want the other CRM User Community Board members to be able to contact me if they need assistance (or if I need theirs) I don't want every clown with something to sell me slamming my In-Box at work.

Likewise, I don't think the folks in our IT Security Group would like emails related to our Corporate SFDC.Org routed to my personal email account.
