Trouble in Hawaii

Hi, I am a new user in Hawaii and have trouble with Workflow rules, I want to automate more of my tasks and cannot figure it out.  Any help would be great.

Can you post an example of something specifically that you are trying to do?  Include Object Names, Field Names, Data Types, Values, Conditions, etc.

I am using products on the oppurtunities pages, what I want to do is when I select my product, cause my work flow rules to kick in, and generate email, task etc, 

I created a product called GOAL, added work flow rules that would start when product name contains, GOAL and the added GOAL in the text box.  Click done on the work flow and nothing happened.  I aslo did a time dependent set a 1 hour and still nothing.  

I just want to set up a simple one and have it work then build on that.

Can you post a screenshot of your Workflow Rule, with the Triggers, and Workflow Actions?  Also, you should try posting this in the new Community Site, it has a more user friendly UI for uploading images (this board isn't really for posting questions anyway).
