Planned integration with Sage

This may not mean very much to our American friends as I am not sure that Sage 50 and Sage 100 are as popular in the US as they are in the UK (if you are curious though, Sage is an accounting system, similar to Quickbooks i guess)

Anyway, Generate Enterprise is a Salesforce Foundation implementation partner in the UK and we are planning to begin the process of developing an integration with Sage 50 and then to make it available on the AppExchange

I would really appreciate it if anybody out there would like to submit some ideas about functionality or features that would be useful to you as users when thinking about passing information to and from Sage.

I'll say no more at this stage as I would like to keep it an 'open book' for now, but I will keep you informed about how things are going

thanks

Ben

Re: Planned integration with Sage

Hi Ben,

We are using Salesforce at the moment and are interested in integrating with SAGE Line 100. How far have you got with your Line 50 integration and do you know of anyone who is currently planning to integrate with Line 100?

Cheers,

Ben

Re: Planned integration with Sage

Hi Ben

We are planning to move to Salesforce Enterprise very soon.  We are also planning to move our accounts to Sage 100 in the new year, but I can't see anything on the Appexchange that might help us connect the two.  How are you coming along with your integration?

Re: Planned integration with Sage

We have a US customer that is an arm of a UK firm. They both plan to use salesforce.com but the US division uses QuickBooks and the UK division uses Sage 50 (which I believe is a UK only version of Sage accounting products). I could not find any integration to Sage 50, so would very much like to learn more. Have you proceeded with this integration yet? Scott

Re: Planned integration with Sage

Hi Ben,
We are a potential new Salesforce customer, and i am currently investigating all the integration options that  would be available to us. We would be looking to import various fields of data from Sage L50, V13 into SF.
I have read your post with interest, are you working on Sage integration still, and if so, where are you upto with your project.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Re: Planned integration with Sage

Hi Ben,

We already have an integration product called "Connect" which links Salesforce to Sage 50 and Sage 200, we can pull down Accounts, push up Financial data, Upload Products and Price Books, Download opportunities as Invoices or Sales orders. We are also implementing further functionality for Contracts, subscriptions and transactional processing within Salesforce.

Rather than developing something yourself take a look at www.getconnect.co.uk and maybe give us a call to discuss.

We have recently taken on Salesforce at work and i am now at the stage where we need to get Sage integrated with it. I have seen from this forum that by using an application called connect that this is possible but i was wondering if there was anyone that can point me in the right direction for doing this.
