Hello everyone, just introducing myself, Bruno Samuel, Marketing Manager at QMI - SAI Global. Using Salesforce since November 2008, and enjoying a lot all reporting features and seeing the ROI for our marketing campaigns.
I'm trying to get our salesguys more engaged and following up on our leads, so I want to create a report that allows me to see leads "Unread by Owner" within a certain timeframe. Problem is that the options in a Custom Report are things like "last week" or "this month", etc, which really don't give me an idea of how old these neglected leads are. I would like a report showing me, for example, "all leads unread by owner that are more than 3 days old", for example.
Anyone with experience on that?
Regards,
Bruno.

Hi Bruno,
The trick to this is to leave the date ranges at the top blank (it will say "custom" when you do this) and then add a criteria of Created Date, "greater than", "3 days"
You'll also obviously have a criteria of "Unread by Owner", "equals", "true"

Hi Jakester, thanks for the quick response, but...
Didn't work. The format is unacceptable by SF - see image below.
Any other ideas?
Bruno.

I got some more time to be able to answer in more depth - here's exactly what it should look like:

Jakester, this became an interesting discussion. Your suggestion didn't solve the problem, but the idea you gave me for the "Last 3 days" helped me figure out a solution.
Look at the screens below. The first one shows that I do have leads that are more than 3 days old from one of our salespeople. The second one shows the report created using the criteria you suggested.
The problem with the criteria you suggested was the definition of the date value "last n days", which is: "Starts at 12:00:00 a.m. n days before the current day and continues up to the current second. (The range includes today.)". (found here: https://na6.salesforce.com/help/doc/en/custom_date
So, when I selected "Greater Than" 3 days old, no results were shown - the criteria would ask for leads that are more than 3 days old from a timeline that includes ONLY the past 3 days.
So, the solution was to use "other than" "last 3 days". This would give me ALL leads in the system, EXCEPT those created in the past 3 days.
Jakester, thank you so much. This report will do wonders around here. Really appreciate your help.
Bruno.
