I'm just curious why my status shows as visitor even though I have been a registered member for quite some time now.

Here's the super secret breakdown of how status gets computed on the message boards.
  • Super Contributor: 500+ posts, 50+ logins, 1,000+ minutes
  • Trusted Contributor: 10+ posts, and avg rating of 40+
  • Regular Contributor: 50+ posts, 10+ logins, 100+ minutes
  • Contributors: 10+ posts, 2+ logins, 50+ minutes
  • Regular Visitor: 20+ logins, 100 minutes
  • Visitor: 2 logins, 50 minutes
  • Newbie: less than 2 logins and 50 minutes
