Custom objects, linking to opportunity products and passing values between objects dynamically

I'd like to create custom objects - Quotes, Orders, Payments, Invoices to Salesforce and link these to the opportunity object and opportunity products object. Is this possible? If yes, how have you accomplished this?

A single opportunity can have multiple quotes, one quote can have multiple orders, one order can have multiple payments, and one payment can have multiple invoices.

Also, I need to pass different field values dynamically between these custom objects upon clicking 'Save'.

Any ideas / thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks.

Re: Custom objects, linking to opportunity products and passing values between objects dynamically

The only way we managed to do this was with some expensive custom coding, and Salesforce still doesn't recognize the relationships, although they have valid key relationships.

I recommend voting for this idea so we can finally do this:
