Hey All,
I am having an issue with a custom button that I created.
We created a renewal button for our organization that links a renewal opportunity with a previous opportunity. The first time we hit the button it works great!
EX: New Opp A -> renewal button clicked -> Renewal Opp B Created (Properly linked back to New Opp A)
However when we try to create the renewal off of the renewal then the new renewal is linked back to the original Opp
EX: Renewal Opp B -> renewal button clicked -> Renewal Opp C created (Incorrectly lined back to New Opp A instead of Renewal Opp B)
The renewal button gets data from the URL and passes it through. When i look at the renewal that is created i notice everything looks great. It even shows the correct renewal in the (Previous Renewal Field) however when i hit the save button the opportunity switches???
Here is the code i am using in the button. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
URL Source:
/{!Opportunity.Id}/e?clone=1&retURL=%2F{!Opportuni
There is no workflow just the button. I think it might be some weird bug in salesforce, Everything else in the url works like a charm, just the one tying back to the opportunity that is an issue.
CF00N60000002Of10={!Opportunity.Name} This is where i pass the old opp. name and put it in the search field for Previous Created from Field
It is a look up field

&CF00N60000002Of10={!Opportunity.Name}&CF00N60000002Of10_lkid={!Opportunity.Id}
Think this might do the trick.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunatly it is still doing the same problem. It shows the correct opp before i save...then after i save it switches to the other opp?!?!
Do you have any other ideas?
Thanks
Paul
