Account to Opportunity Convert Button

Hi Developers,

Could you walk me through the process of developing a button to convert an "account" into an "opportunity"?

 I.e. similar to how a lead can be converted into an account.

Hello,

For the Account to Opps, just add the Opp section to the account layout, then the user can just hit create new opp from the related list.

For the lead to account there is a natural conversion process that already exsist for this.

Maybe I am missing something?

We currently have the Opportunity section added to the Account layout, however, we'd like it to be converted into an opportunty instead. That way all fields are transferred, non manually. How could we add a "convert" button to an account?
