Time Based Workflow Queue - Mass Update

From what I gather the Time Based Workflow Queue is not exposed, thus not allowing mass updates to the records that are within the queue. Can anybody confirm this?

My intent is to update the Created By field on records so that the pending Email Alert is sent by a user other than the "current" Created By.  Sure, I can update the (Lead) records so they can be flushed from the queue and then re-trigger the workflow rules. It would be a whole lot easier if I could update the records within the queue directly.

If there are ways to update the records in the queue directly, I'd welcome the ideas.

Confirmed. Time Based Workflow Queue is not exposed either through the UI or API to query and directly update.
