Source report used for multiple filtered dashboard components?

I would like to create a single opportunity report with specific column groupings that I can then use for multiple dashboard components.  The idea is to have a separate dashboard component for each stage in the opportunity pipeline. 

I want to have this run off a single report so if I change the groupings on one report, then all of the dashboard components will update to reflect these changes.  The alternative would be to save separate copies of the same report with a different filter for each.  The problem is that if I were to change the grouping then I'd have to go ahead and change 4 or more separate reports.

Is there a way to do this, or is this idea worthy?

Unfortunately, you need to create a report withe each of the filter criteria, if you infact want a different dashboard component for each stage.

If you can use one component with all the stages in it, then you can use the filtered source criteria to allow the users to drill into the data within a specific stage.
