Does anyone use Entourage (Outlook-alike) for an email client/contact manager and if so have you determined a way to integrate it (Salesforce.com) with your system?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

We use mac in our office as well (non-profit community development venture capital fund) our CEO is a mac guy and we hadn't implemented SF when we went with mac platform. Anyone interested in a mac users thread--we haven't done much integration with office, entourage, etc. either but wondering what ways around folks are coming up with--like when will SF or partner use v-cards--wouldn't that solve the contact issue?

SFDC says "NO SOFTWARE", but that's not true: in order to benefit from all there is, you still need to be a win-user and running MS office. What about open souce office integration - like Open Office? What about integration for other e-mail software? do you know a thread where thes questions are handled?

There is another method if you run in an exchange environment with entourage as your client: Microsoft just released an enhancement to Entourage to work much cleaner with Exchange. After that you could go third party integration of email and salesforce.com. Canyon Bridge is a good example of that. While there is no direct link between Entourage and salesforce.com there is always a workaround. I can also feel your pain since I work in Novell Groupwise.

Brad,
Are you still an Entourage with GroupWise user? If so, we have good news for you.
Omni has released Riva Salesforce Integration for GroupWise. You can read more about it at http://www.omni-ts.com/crm-integration.
Are you still an Entourage with GroupWise user? If so, we have good news for you.
Omni has released Riva Salesforce Integration for GroupWise. You can read more about it at http://www.omni-ts.com/crm-integration.
The Desktop Edition and Enterprise Editions both run on Windows and/or Linux.
Riva Salesforce Integration for GroupWise provides transparent, server-side integration between Salesforce and GroupWise contacts, appointments, tasks and phone calls.
Riva transparently publishes Salesforce Opportunities and Cases to GroupWise and makes them available in on-line and caching mode to all GroupWise clients (yes including Entourage).
Riva's SmartConvert Drop Folders allow a GroupWise email to be automatically converted into a Salesforce Opportunity or Case. The Riva ConnectBar allows users to have directly access Salesforce Opportunities and cases from their GroupWise client.
All Salesforce information synchronised to GroupWise is available on all GroupWise clients: Windows, Linux, Mac OSX, WebAccess, Outlook, and BlackBerry and other mobile devices. Riva requires a minimum of GroupWise 7.0.3.
Best regards,
Aldo Zanoni
