Meaning of Stage Duration field in an Opportunity History report

I'm a little uncertain whether the "Stage Duration" field in an Opportunity History report is telling me the Opportunity's duration in the "From Stage" or the "To Stage". I'm guessing its the "From Stage", but I would really like to know for sure. Can anyone give me a definitive answer?
