Campaign Member Status Defaults

Can anyone tell me how to modify the default list of campaign memeber status's.  My organization uses about 8 different status's that have to be put in every time we create a campaign and it is becoming an annoyance.  Thanks in advance!

See the link above.  Unfortunately, this is not available at this time.  If you have a common set of member statuses you use, you could create a template campaign, and simply clone it instead of using the New, Campaign button.  And, don't forget to promote the idea...

Re: Campaign Member Status Defaults

With Summer '09, the status field is exposed in the Setup menu, so you can finally do cleanup!  Go to Setup-->customize-->campaigns-->campaign members-->fields-->setup and you can delete or replace values to cleanup those messy status lists.

Summer '09 is live for NA1 and NA6.  All other servers will be live next Monday.

Re: Campaign Member Status Defaults

Hi,

** I'm using Japanese version. So, items's names may be different from English version.

I tried to edit status picklist.

At first, my status picklist had 3 items.

-- entry

-- attend

-- response

Then I created a new campaign.

When I looked it, I found 2 items.

-- done

-- response

At last, I looked status picklist again.

It had 4 items.

-- done

-- attend

-- entry

-- response

At this time, I created one more campaign.

That has 2 items as same as the first campaign.

(I put the items in order just the same as pickup status page.)

I think this is the strange behavior.

Why and where does the item "done" come from?

Why doesn't the item "entry" show?

How can I decide which one is default and is has_response?

I would like to have 3 items.

-- entry   It's the default

-- attend

-- response It's has_response

I also would like to give this setting all campaigns.

I believe this behavior is the true Campaign Member Status Defaults.

Thanks,

astraea

Re: Campaign Member Status Defaults

Hi Astrea - I'd recommend opening a case with Salesforce support  as that does sound strange.

You can't define default statuses for campaigns from the setup tree, but you can clone campaigns with the statuses you want, and that saves the time of creating those desired defaults again.
